OUR MINISTRIES

Avon Community Church is purposed with being an evangelical witness for Jesus Christ.  We are committed to building up individuals and families through God's Word, providing prayer and fellowship, and equipping believers for works of service. The responsibility that each of our ministries faces is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ, so that we are ever-increasing in unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son.

"As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love."

Youth Ministry

ACC’s youth ministry strives to live out the theme “Love God, Love Other’s, and Serve in Love” in every
aspect of our lives and especially in our youth group. Our pillar is Jesus Christ, and we strive to glorify
Him in everything we do. We learn about Jesus, grow closer to Him, and share Him with the world
around us. We are working on discipling the next generation of leaders, not just in the church, but our
communities, country, and even the world.

We Offer:

Adults

When it comes to adult ministry, ACC is anything but short of opportunities to continue learning about God's promise for us. Whether it's in your own home, at a local business, or Sunday mornings before worship begins, we have a small discussion group that will fit your spiritual needs. Unsure of where to begin?  Join us this Sunday for worship, or contact us for a list of classes currently being offered and get plugged into a group that could change the way the Holy Spirit works within you.

Family

The book of Acts ends in chapter 28 telling us that Paul "proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ - with all boldness and without hindrance!" (v.31).  Our family ministry is focused on equipping families to continue doing the same with a focus on worshiping together, praying continuously and proclaiming God's word with all boldness.

Missions

Our missions focus is both local and international.  No matter how we get involved, our church family strives to bring the Word of God to any and all who are in need and willing to listen.

Christ said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20

Worship

At ACC, we believe that our lives should be lived out in worship.  As we worship our creator with everything, we become fulfilled by laying worth at the feet of the One who alone is worthy.

Romans 12:1 tells us that our true and proper worship is to give ourselves to God as a sacrifice.  The offering up of any gift that God has blessed you with is encouraged at ACC, in hopes that others may be transformed by the Spirit, and renewed in Christ Jesus through those gifts.
